First one done!
I've finally finished the first print for my Revelation series, this one is of death, the fourth horseman. I've added a lot more detail since my last post about it and also played around with a few of the colours. Just so it didn't look too flat and boring I decided to add a paper texture over the top of the image, as well as giving the image a border, I thought that pulling bits out so they overlapped the border also made it look more interesting, it also meant I wasn't losing parts of hades when i cropped it.
Now I know how I'm doing these prints the others shouldn't take as long, I've already began to draw up the rough for famine so expect that one soon.

Bit of Colour In Death
I've added some colour to my Death image for the four horsemen series, I've also started adding some highlights to the image. This is a little different to what I've done before, kind of wanted to challenge myself and see if I can make my images look more detailed when using colour in photoshop.
its nearly finished so I'll put the final version up when its done,
Also im on facebook now, would appreciate a like or two, Alex Art

Death Looking Rough
The rough visual for one of my four horsemen pieces, this is the image depicting death.
Its taken me so long to develop the horses, I didn't realise they were such a pain in the arse to draw! Anyway I'm pretty pleased with how its looking at the moment, I'm gonna add a few bits to the empty spaces, to make them look less empty and possibly put a building on the right hand side to fill up that space.
hopefully I'll have this finished, or at least another one roughed up by next week. watch this space.

Penguins Penguins and More Penguins!
A bunch of us students painted the window in the Roland Levinsky Building to advertise a few events that are being held at the peninsula arts gallery. The events are the contemporary music festival, landscapes of exploration and true south festival, so we decided to have a load of penguins playing instruments as well as the explorer Scott in the middle. I think it turned out pretty well.
Here are my penguins.

The four horseman
Conquest.
Death.
I havent put much up on here for a while so I thought I'd put up a few pages from my sketchbook.
I wanted to start doing some more serious stuff for this project so I decided to illustrate parts of the book of revelation, the four horsemen of the apocalypse to be precise, I want these to be more detailed pieces that are quite different from most of my other work. At the moment I'm just trying to create the characters so they reflect their names.
I'll put up more realised versions of the four horsemen once I've finished them.

Pirates!
A rough sketch of an idea I've had for a mural a few of us at uni are doing for Plympton library,
I'll put up more details and artwork when we've finished it, so for now enjoy these pirates.

The End is Nigh
these are my final images for last terms project, based it on the mayan 2012 conspiracy. I invented an alternate world where the Mayans had invaded europe instead of the other way around, and then went on to create posters for a fictional travel company, with the final poster being about the evacuation of the earth before it ends.
This was a pretty challenging project for me because i tried to imitate the styles and production of the time period each poster is from, I think I did it the best I could.
If i get round to it I'll type up the timeline I did for this so people can get a better idea of what its all about.
